2. Jesus
There is absolutely no purpose to Christianity unless it was true. No one would bother. It would not make that great of a lie! The motives are innocent. Society and personal life can carry on without it, but it is not extraneous. It's God being personal with you. Jesus is His name.
Jesus is counter-intuitive to put your prejudice in check. His words are intricate!
I think the message He is trying to convey is that sin is inadequate, so do more. Love more and beyond!
No judging (discernment)
1.Concerning judging, making one more important and not thinking and acting as a peer is wrong. THIS ASSERTS EQUALITY. There is only "good" in a person; no choice. Evil is merely guessing, which needs correction but is natural according to our personal and social history and our bodies. Channel that good. It is impossible not to discern, so that cannot be Jesus' meaning. We discern by nature but condemnation is not a good option. Give others full rights and benefits. Sum it up as help.
2. No lust (sexual desire)
1 Cheating causes disassociation with one's partner. Masturbation is necessary for men to avoid neuroticism and potentially psychosis. Drawings aren't specific or dissuasive. One should wholeheartedly seek marriage or other vocation. This is a step above lust.
3. No debt
1. One shouldn't create debt that leads to bad relationships or actions (don't do wrong to repay it). Being in debt to someone as in appreciating them is good.
4. No money
1.Don't misappropriate money. The more money one has the more responsible one has to be.
5. No prosecution
1.One shouldn't prosecute for vengeance but to help the person and others.
6. No weapons
1.Don't be irresponsible and unloving when having weapons for the temptation to use it is natural and misuse will follow without love.
7.No oaths
1.Don't take oaths to feed delusion of greater power or will to do something. Commitment is good. Try honestly for all you say you will do, provided it is always a good idea. Feel free to change your mind.
8. Forgiveness- Many, many people don't believe in Jesus because they misinterpret forgiveness for apathy, injustice, and permissiveness. Their disdain is at first rightly founded but they find themselves underwater real quick in their own ego, which fills the void of understanding God. Jesus couldn't possibly mean apathy for that isn't just inconsistent but contradictory with any form of justice or social ambition. Forgiveness is due consideration and steps towards reform. Being earnest.
9.Love enemies- People have souls so they should exist with their bodies supported. The Golden Rule- Love others as you love yourself. This does not mean love evil.
10. Give all to Jesus- how do we know we can trust him? What is faith without review? Does Jesus or the Apostolic Churches bear ill will?
11. Venture forth in business and evangelization because our souls are safer in righteousness.
12. Money is the root of all evil. Does that mean it's evil itself? Earth is the home of all villains. Good is primary, money is secondary or mediocre. There is nothing evil, or it wouldn't be.
13. Divorce can be legal but not real? Being without one's true love is adultery, married or not.
14. Original Sin- our fault there is imperfection (eventually by continuing to live). Live is an achievement over adversity. It is a rescue mission and our worldlines are lifelines.
15. Jesus whipped people. Do not doubt that God is in charge of your physical and spiritual body. Also, "Spare the rod and spoil the child"; spanking makes you stand up for yourself, and be aware, especially of consequences. Life is torture until you face it with courage and justice. BE RESOLVED.
16. Be perfect- sum it up as love.
17. Don't resist evil- rather, collaborate for their true needs. Guide them, even physically. If someone comes at you with a knife, guide their knife away, but do not retaliate as a means of payment. After all, they have good in them, and good in their potential. Do not DEPRIVE the evildoer. Do not resist his true needs. Their motive is to fulfill needs.
So at first, Jesus seems counter-intuitive, but I know He is never undoubtedly wrong. Shocking, but true!
ALOT of these things are not wrong, but they can be wrong if taken to extremes, so Jesus replies to abstain from "Law" in the name of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. Otherwise, Jesus would be a hypocrite. Better to cut your eye out than go to hell, but in reality the Soul commits sin.
